I have used KitchenAid mixers for many years beginning with the Artisan model, which is still functioning. I gave it to my granddaughter and upgraded to the Professional 600 model. It served me well for 15 years. I now use the Commercial model 8 qt. mixer primarily for weekly bread baking. Immediately after receiving it (it arrived a whole week ahead of schedule) I used it for mixing four loaves of bread in preparation for New Year celebrations with a gathering of eleven family members. One of my nephews calls me "Uncle Bread."
